Electric motor is a machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, they come in a variety of different types, based on application, power and size. Examples are AC motors, Brushed DC motors, Brushless DC motors, Synchronous motors, Stepper motors. They are used in many application such as transport, heating and ventilation, industrial, positioning applications (motion-controlled), lasers and optics, image scanners, intelligent lighting and most recently in 3-D printers.
