The Logistic Center in Poing is certified according to EN9120 and demonstrates its conformance to aviation, space and defence industry standards. EN9120 specifies additional management system requirements towards quality, safety and reliability within the supply chain of the Aerospace industry. This includes the chain of custody, traceability, stock control and availability of records.
The warehouse Poing 1 has a total storage area of 27.500m² with 157.000 stock locations in the shelf area and another 12.000 locations in the pallets area.
The warehouse Poing² was built in 2011. The warehouse consists of a total area of 32.000m² (expanded by 7.500m²) with 289.000 storage locations in the shelf area and additional 45.000 locations in the Autostore.
The Autostore
The Autostore is a unique worldwide-patented warehouse system proven to be the ideal small-goods handler. With standardised boxes stacked in a cube, it is the most space-efficient goods-to-man system on the market. Besides that, there are 31.000 storage locations in the pallet area. The warehouse also features a sequencer, whose task is to collect all the individual items of orders and shipments, sort, store, save and perform together. The sequencer's performance is far above the current industry standard: twelve independent shuttles in three equally independent lanes allow 1200 called games per lane. Sufficient for each job density and a significant relief for picking.
